Office Structures & Responsibilities
The Canyon County Coroner’s Office is comprised of one elected official and six Deputy Coroners who respond to death investigations across the entire county. The office is also supported by a pathologist and an autopsy technician. As one of the fastest-growing counties in Idaho, Canyon County has experienced a significant increase in both the volume and complexity of cases handled by the Coroner’s Office.
Despite the critical role it plays, many people are unaware of the responsibilities of the Coroner’s Office or the challenges it faces. Having worked in this office for many years, I bring the experience, competence, and firsthand knowledge needed to understand these challenges and to help implement effective solutions.
I believe it is essential that the Coroner’s Office remains fully compliant with current policies and continues to stay up to date with evolving investigative techniques. This ensures the integrity of the office while allowing us to provide accurate, fact-based answers during some of the most difficult times for families.
My military experience played a foundational role in shaping who I am today. Through my service, I developed a strong sense of discipline, accountability, and resilience. Operating in high pressure and dynamic environments requires me to think critically, adapt quickly, and maintain focus on mission objectives while supporting my team. Additionally, I gained valuable leadership experience. Learning how to motivate others, communicate effectively, and make sound decisions under pressure. These experiences reinforced my commitment to integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement. As a result, I bring a structured work ethic, problem solving mindset, and a deep sense of responsibility to everything I do.
I am committed to serving the people of Canyon County with the highest level of compassion, dignity, and respect, while working diligently to uphold the standards and responsibilities of the Coroner’s Office.
